IOM USA Honor Roll (January 2018 Update)
By Bob Wells

Our Honor Roll below lists all of our 20 National Championship Regattas as of 2018. It is not easy to win a USA IOM National Championship, especially if you hail from America. Canadian Peter Van Rossem leads overall with four Championships, and Barbadian Tony Gonsalves follows with three. Five skippers have two wins: the UK’s Graham Bantock and Brad Gibson, Croatia’s Zvonko Jelecic, USA’s Craig Mackey, and our most recent is USA’s Steve Landeau. Most of our champions get their wins close together, but not Steve. He waited 17 years to get his second one in 2018.
Fred Rocha initiated documenting the Honor Roll in 2013-14 and Bruce Andersen provided much of the early information on the list. Bob Wells filled in many blanks with additional research, and submitted it to Model Yachting magazine for the Fall 2014 issue featuring the IOM and IOMUSA.org. For the Summer 2019 MY submittal, Bob updated the recent years, and Steve Landeau provided infill on some earlier championships that he attended.
If you can fill in the small amount of missing information shown as “NA” in our earlier regattas, please share with us.
